Create script input dialog

This dialog is the second step in the process of creating instructions for IBModeler to automatically create a model out of the captured photographs using the recommended rotating stand setup . It loads after the select camera callibration method dialog and is used specify the location of the photographs of the captured model and some other configuration details.

• Source Image Folder

  Use the browse button to select the folder in which all of the photographs of the model taken using the setup are downloaded and stored on your computer. Make sure that any test photographs taken at the beginning or end are deleted and only the targeted images reside in this folder.
  
  IBModeler looks for a pattern in the image file names to determine the sequence of the images. Most digital cameras store the images with a .jpg extension and images in sequence have corresponding sequence numbers at the end of the file name.
  
  IBModeler will reject the input if there are less than five subsequent images in this folder, or if any image is missing in the sequence. For eg. if the images are IMG000124.jpg, IMG000125.jpg, IMG000126.jpg, IMG000127.jpg and IMG000130.jpg, IBModeler will reject the input as expected images IMG000128.jpg and IMG000129.jpg are not present in the folder.

• Working Folder

  This is the folder where the script file containing all the instructions and the created model will be stored. If the 'Save my image inputs in a subfolder checkbox' (see below) is checked, then the bitmap images showing the user markings will also be stored in this folder.
  
  By default, the working folder is set to a subfolder called IBModelerFiles inside of the source image folder (see above), whenever the source image folder is selected. But you can always click on the browse button and select a different location.

• Background color selection

  This section is used to specify the details of the background screen kept behind the model while taking the photographs. See set background screen dialog for more details on how to specify values for this section.
  
  There is a lot of flexibility in specifying the background screen using IBModeler. And just in case, you find out later that the background is not being set right after the first image loads for your inputs, you can click on the undo button (or press Ctrl + Z) to undo the background setting operation. Then, click on the Set Background toolbar button again, to change the parameters and try again. You can keep trying different combinations till you are satisfied, but remember this option will not be available again, once you move on to the next step.
  
  Also remember that the same parameters that you used for the first image will be applied to all the rest of the images, and you will not be able to make a different selection for them.

• Write Add Texture Instruction - checkbox

  The created 3D model is essentially a collection of triangles (mesh data) displayed in 3D space. If you uncheck this checkbox, then only this mesh data will be created and the entire model will be displayed in a single color.
  
  But if it is checked, then IBModeler will use a combination of two photographs of the model to create the texture information. The chosen photographs will be first one (front image) and another one which is the image taken after a rotation at an angle that is nearest to 180 (back image). This will result in these two images wrapped around the model, so that the created model replicates real world object, not just in shape but also in the colors of the different sections.
  
  Note that since only the front and back images are taken as textures, you might not find the sides or top portions of the model colored correctly if those portions were not visible through the front or the back.

• Save my image inputs in a subfolder - checkbox

  If you check this checkbox, then the modified images (with the user markings and with the background identified) will also be stored in the working folder.
  
  This would be helpful for troubleshooting purposes. If you find something wrong with the output model, you can browse through these images to check out the possible error in the setting of the background or any user error in the markings.

• Apply the script and show created model - checkbox

  As part of the script creation process, IBModeler creates all the required instructions based on your inputs and puts it in a script file. If this checkbox is checked (default), then IBModeler also executes the set of instructions and finally loads the created model as well for you to view it.
  
  You can uncheck this checkbox if you just want to create the script file with the instructions for now. To execute the script later, you can use the menu option Options->Run Script to select the particular script file and run it to apply the images on the mold file and finally create the model.
