Select camera callibration method dialog

When we take photographs with any camera, the size of any object within the image will keep decreasing as we move this object away from the camera. Depending on the zoom settings and aperture of the camera, the amount by which the size would decrease for a given change in distance will be different for each camera setting. While using the photographs of the model to determine it's shape, IBModeler would need this information if there is appreciable change in the size of the different parts of the model in different photographs. This dialog is used to specify how and whether IBModeler should get this information.

• Camera at infinity

  This is the first and the default selection. If you ensured that you took the photographs while maintaining sufficient distance from the model, so that the distance between the camera and the model far outweighs the distance between the near and far ends of the model, then you can safely select this option.
  
  For this to work, you should try to use a digital camera that has a lot of zoom capacity (preferably optical zoom since digital zoom compromises the quality of the image). You will be able to shoot the model from a good distance while still being able to zoom in to it, so that the model occupies the major portion of the view.
  
  This is the most recommended way of taking the photographs. Also, the output model has the smoothest surfaces with the camera at infinity selection.

• Callibrate the camera based on model top positions

  If you feel that the camera wasn't sufficiently far from the model (when compared to the size of the model), this is the next best choice that you should go for.
  
  If this option is chosen, IBModeler will try by itself to callibrate the camera, by comparing sizes in the different images. Essentially, it checks the distance of the topmost portion of the model from the axis of rotation and the variation in height of the topmost portion of the model, between the times when this top portion is closest to the camera, and when it is farthest from the camera. Then it uses this information to callibrate the variation in height of the model with the variation in distance.
  
  If you chose this option, you will see IBModeler marking the top positions of the model as each of the image is loaded for user markings. It would be a good idea to keep an eye on these markings, ensuring that they are getting marked correctly, because sometimes if all of the background screen is not being identified properly, a background region at the top might be marked as the top position of the model.

• Use precalculated values

  If you already know the values for the change in height of an object with the change in the distance, for the given digital camera and at the zoom at which the photographs were taken, use the third option to input the specific values.
